Larry David is coming home to the east coast. The mastermind behind Curb Your Enthusiasm will allegedly bring his HBO series to New York City for its recently announced eighth season, according to cast member Susie Essman.

"I have not seen any outlines," Essman told The New York Post. "I just know we're shooting a bunch in New York. That makes me really happy."

She added: "They all live in LA ... And for seven seasons, I've been schlepping out there. Now I get to sleep in my own bed. Let them stay in hotels."

On the most recent season of Curb, David delivered a hilarious send-up of Seinfeld by organizing a fictional television reunion. How he's going to top that story this time remains unclear — it certainly won't be easy — though Spinoff Online's editor-in-chief Jonah Weiland proposed an interesting idea just a few weeks ago: "I say next season Larry tries to develop a network TV series with Leon as the lead." But with New York as the season's new backdrop, perhaps Larry can build a one-man stage play around Leon instead.

No matter how it shakes out, this is Larry David and New York City we're talking about — the possibilities are endless!
