And now for Day 11, #14 on the countdown is...

"'Twas the Fright Before Christmas," from "DC Comics Presents" #67 by Len Wein, E. Nelson Bridwell, Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson.

The issue opened with a little kid attacking a sidewalk Santa Claus and Superman discovered that the child had taken out a present his parents had gotten him for Christmas early and it led to him being brainwashed. It turned out that the Toyman had made all the most popular toys that year to brainwash the kids of the world.

Superman and the young boy head to the Fortress of Solitude where Superman figured out exactly how the Toyman pulled it off. On the way back to Metropolis, the boy's conditioning kicked in again and attacked Superman with a blast from his "toy" that knocked Superman out, when he awoke, he was in Santa's workshop!!

In the end, Santa Claus helped Superman first defeat the Toyman and then switch out all the bad toys with good ones...

In the end, it was one of those "Did we REALLY team-up with Santa or not?" but then at the end...

I love the idea of a Superman/Santa team-up and the story was a fun one.
