The latest rumors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe suggest Frank Grillo could reprise his role as Brock Rumlow, aka Crossbones, in the franchise's near future.

After being bested by Captain America in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Rumlow returned for the opening of Captain America: Civil War, sporting a comic book accurate costume. While it seemed his story was over after his fatal battle with Cap, it now looks like there could be more to come from Crossbones.

According to MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad, Grillo is being tapped for another turn as the supervillain. Conrad explained, "Marvel is looking to bring back Crossbones in some way and are in discussions about it now... I do not know where or how he’ll return."

This would not be the first time Grillo suits up as Crossbones following his explosive Civil War swansong. Rumlow was one of the many familiar faces from the MCU's past who popped up in Avengers: Endgame. Elsewhere, Grillo previously claimed he had five more movies on his contract and teased the MCU might not be done with him yet.
