WARNING: The following contains spoilers for "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 2," which premiered Monday on The CW.

Following Oliver Queen's death in the climactic last stand of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" premiere episode, the Green Arrow was resurrected by his grief-stricken daughter, Mia Smoak, and Barry Allen in a Lazarus Pit. However, the price to bring Oliver back from the grave may come with insidious consequences for the Emerald Archer.

In a Q&A with the assembled Arrowverse showrunners, the executive producers noted that Oliver's return is not without a price, with Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz reminding audiences that people emerging from the Lazarus Pit are not the same as they had been in their original life. With Sara Lance coming back as a more bloodthirsty character even after having her soul reunited with her body, Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Keto Shimizu noted that White Canary has more insight on the Lazarus Pits than her counterparts.

"Sara [has] first-hand experience that...gives her some real skin in this game of how and whether to use it," observed Shimizu. "And she is definitely an authority on it. And again it’s another reminder for us of how far she’s come, which for this whole event is really important for her arc."

While Oliver emerged from the Lazarus Pit, John Constantine was unable to reunite his soul with his body due to the prevalence of antimatter. According to "Crisis" showrunner Marc Guggenheim, this may spell sinister things behind Oliver's resurrection.

"The complication that you saw at the end of hour two is just another confirmation that [Sara] should have maybe trusted her original instincts that things are not working out quite the way Barry and Mia had hoped [with using a Lazarus Pit to bring Oliver back],” teased Guggenheim.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" continues in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
