The multiverse comprising the Arrowverse was rewritten following the conclusion of The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, and the event's showrunner has teased the fate of some of the new multiverse's worlds.

"They may have different designations," Marc Guggenheim told Fan Nerd Podcast. "They may have different histories. We know just from what happened to Earth-Prime that various people came back to life. Lex Luthor became a good guy."

One world seen during "Crisis" was Earth-96, the so-called Kingdom Come world and home to Brandon Routh's incarnation of Superman. That world was shown to have survived the events of "Crisis," and aside to a cosmetic change to Superman's costume, other changes to that world remain unknown.

Conversely, Earth-167, home to Tom Welling's Clark Kent and the world of Smallville, was not seen in the wake of "Crisis." Many presumed this to mean that world didn't survive as part of the reborn multiverse. Guggenheim's comments, though, indicate this, and other unseen worlds, could not only have survived, but may have undergone some changes.

Other unseen worlds believed to be destroyed, such as that of Batman '66 and Birds of Prey, could also have therefore survived in some form.

"I will always err on the side of what gives us more stories to tell," Guggenheim said.
