With an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths as the next major Arrowverse crossover event, one of the characters showing up in it will be the Kingdom Come version of Superman, played by Superman Returns and DC's Legends of Tomorrow star Brandon Routh. In a show of good faith, actor Cameron Cuffe -- who played the Man of Steel's grandfather Seg-El on the recently canceled Krypton -- has shown support for Routh's return to the role of Superman in a rather heartwarming way.
Cuffe responded to a tweet from the official Superman Twitter account, featuring the official image of Routh as the Kingdom Come Superman, by joyfully saying, "Go get 'em, kid!"
In response to Cuffe's words of encouragement, Routh replied, "Thanks Grandpa!" in the comments and added a wink emoji at the end, showing off his own jovial side in the process.
"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, December 8 at 8 pm ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, December 8 at 8 pm ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, December 10 at 8 pm ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, January 14 in Arrow at 8 pm ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 pm ET/PT.
