Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Beyond actor Kevin Conroy will join the Arrowverse for the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event.
According to EOnline, the news broke at the 2019 Television Critics Association summer press tour. Conroy will play an older Bruce Wayne, and he'll appear on-screen as the character. Cress Williams' Black Lightning joining the crossover, which the actor recently revealed, was also confirmed.
The news comes after Conroy posted an artist's rendering of him as an older Bruce Wayne on Twitter. "Paying attention you casting agents," he wrote in the post.
An artist did a rendering of me as an aged Bruce Wayne for Batman Beyond. I look pretty good for 80. Paying attention you casting agents? pic.twitter.com/OlTUkWskEL— Kevin Conroy (@RealKevinConroy) August 3, 2019
The event will also see Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/The Atom on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, play Kingdom Come Superman. The event will also feature Burt Ward, who played Robin in the '60s Batman television show, in an undisclosed role. It's unclear at this time just how major of a role Conroy will have in the production.
Slated to begin in Fall 2019 on The CW, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" currently has no announced air date. However, the event will span five hours, with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman all participating. "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will seemingly be split around the winter hiatus.
