Assembling the various Arrowverse casts for the crossover event "Crisis on Infinite Earths" was full of logistical challenges. But one of the most persistent did not come as a surprise: the actors' salaries.

Crossover showrunner and executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that moving series regulars to different Arrowverse series that made up the crossover required paying each star a higher salary than their usual rate. Guggenheim refereed to the increased pay for actors as a "budgetary aneurysm."

"All the actors get paid a special crossover rate, which is higher than their regular episodic rate,” confirmed Guggenheim in an interview with Rolling Stone, without divulging specifics.

With six different DCTV series' main casts involved with the crossover, including Black Lightning, the crossover's production spared little expense in bringing the fan-favorite actors together in a battle to save the DCTV multiverse.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
