For The CW's upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, many famous super-actors are coming back into the fold to once again play their heroic counterparts. This includes Superman Returns actor Brandon Routh, who will be reprising his role as Superman -- only this time, as Kingdom Come Clark.

On Instagram, Fitness and Nutrition Coach Jade Way shared a photo of him and Routh with a caption that reads, "@brandonjrouth and myself recently on set. 🦸🏻‍♂️👊🏼💥This is also my attempt at trying to out angle #superman and failing 😄 My job was to help Brandon be suit ready and as you can see he succeeded! - At @rizefitness we train hero’s...and sometimes villains 😈"

When "Crisis on Infinite Earths" airs in December, Routh will be playing the Superman found in Mark Waid and Alex Ross' Kingdom Come Elseworlds tale. As evidenced by Routh's costume in the photo, the Superman design differs from the classic with a more angular black-and-red take on the "S" emblem. Additionally, Clark has a "salt-and-pepper look" for his hair instead of his usual jet-black locks.

Kingdom Come tells the story of an alternate Earth and the growing trouble between "traditional" superheroes and reckless vigilantes. Because the story is set in the future, these new vigilantes also just happen to be the children of several famous DC heroes.
