Of all the DC universe characters poised to return for the Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths," Birds of Prey star Ashley Scott is perhaps one of the most surprising.

Scott portrayed Helena Wayne, aka Huntress, on the short-lived series that ran on The WB for a single season. In an Instagram post, Scott reflected on donning the familiar costume -- which former co-star Rachel Skarsten confirmed was the same from the original series -- nearly 20 years later and thanked the fans for keeping the character alive.

"I feel swells of energy, knowing the fans that so loved our show will get to see her again. It is absolutely one of the greatest pleasures in my life to have been gifted with playing her the first time and now that has deepened beyond my own understand," Scott shared. "Here's to you Huntress and to the devout fans that have kept you alive and well. Prrrrrfect."

The epic television crossover event brings together not only the current Arrowverse series, but also nods to DC's past on both the big and small screens, from the 1960s Batman series to Smallville and more, as the various heroes race to save all of reality from the Anti-Monitor.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, December 8 at 8 pm ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, December 8 at 8 pm ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, December 10 at 8 pm ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, January 14 in Arrow at 8 pm ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 pm ET/PT.
