With "Crisis on Infinite Earths" looming ever closer in the Arrowverse, the dreaded presence of the Anti-Monitor follows. However, a new behind-the-scenes photo from actor LaMonica Garrett -- who plays both the Anti-Monitor and the Monitor -- may tone down any fear the character may bring by adding a sense of silliness as the Anti-Monitor prepares to do battle with a very different Monitor.Uploaded to Garrett's Twitter, the photo features the actor in full costume and makeup as the Anti-Monitor, the latter giving his skin a very deathly appearance. His eyes are also now an eerie shade of blue thanks to color contacts the actor is seen wearing.
However, the nightmarish appearance of the Anti-Monitor is lessened due to the fact that Garrett looks ready to do battle with a TV monitor. Adding to this, Garrett jokingly said above the image, "I Hate this Monitor." Garrett also took the time in the tweet to remind his followers of the upcoming event by saying, “A Crisis [is] coming... Dec.8th.â€
"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
