In "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Four," Oliver Queen has become someone else -- something else.

According to the synopsis for the fourth installment of the Arrowverse crossover, Oliver will rejoin the Paragons in a new role. The description promises to make good on "Part Three's" tease that Oliver will become the new Spectre, who played a critical part in the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book event by Marv Wolfman and George Perez.

The episode synopsis appears in full below:

OLIVER HAS BECOME SOMETHING ELSE IN PART FOUR OF “CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS.” EPISODE PENNED BY MARV WOLFMAN & MARC GUGGENHEIM – Stuck in the Vanishing Point, the Paragons search for a way to escape. The futility of the situation is compounded by The Flash’s (guest star Grant Gustin) disappearance. However, hope appears in the form of Oliver (Stephen Amell), who reveals that he has become something else. Meanwhile, the origin stories for The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) and Anti-Monitor are revealed. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Marv Wolfman & Marc Guggenheim (#808). Original airdate 1/14/2020.

The description also riffs on Oliver's opening monologue from Arrow. Every episode of the original Arrowverse series opens with some version of the following: "My name is Oliver Queen. After five years in hell, I have come home with only one goal -- to save my city. But my old approach wasn't enough. I had to become someone else. I had to become something else." Original Spectre Jim Corrigan, as played by Stephen Lobo, also quoted this when he met Oliver in purgatory in "Part Three."

Notably, the synopsis also confirms Wolfman penned this episode alongside "Crisis" producer Marc Guggenheim. It also reveals that Barry Allen's The Flash, who survived his prophesied death due to the noble sacrifice of Earth-90's Flash, has gone missing. Additionally, it teases the origin for the Monitor -- who was killed by Lyla Michaels' Harbinger -- and his brother the Anti-Monitor, which was also teased in "Part Three."

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" will return after the winter hiatus. The crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 on Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The Supergirl, Batwoman and Flash episodes are now available to stream on The CW.
