The Creep is one of the most iconic parts of Creepshow. First appearing in the 1982 film of the same name, he served as the ghoulish observer and connective tissue of the Stephen King/George Romero anthology horror film. With the EC horror comics-inspired film now being adapted for television, fans have gotten their first real look at the new version of the character.

Showrunner Greg Nicotero, who is also known for his work as a make-up artist, posted the picture to Instagram, along with news that the first episode of the series has wrapped production. The image shows The Creep glaring through a window, much as he did in the original film. However, the picture introduces a significantly creepier version of the character than what appeared before. The design for the character is more defined, and he's clearly falling apart at the seams. It's a genuinely scary design, which should speak to the overall tone of the new show.
