Two new stills from Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop series show off scenes that appear to adapt the popular anime's first episode.

Netflix recently shared a series of sneak peek images, several of which seem to provide a glimpse into the episode "Asteroid Blues." One image appears to feature Jan Uddion's character Asimov presumably alongside his wife Katrina. Fans of the anime will undoubtedly recognize these characters from the first episode, which follows Spike tracking down Asimov Solensan, a syndicate member on the run and dealer of the illegal drug Red Eye. Netflix also shared an image of John Cho's Spike, seemingly from the same episode.

Adapting the original 1998 anime, Netflix's Cowboy Bebop will bring the ragtag group of interplanetary bounty hunters to life in an upcoming 10-episode live-action series. John Cho will star as an older version of the group's cool-headed leader while Mustafa Shakir will play the no-nonsense Jet Black, with Daniella Pineda rounding out the trio as the deadly amnesic Faye Valentine. Other characters who will make regular appearances include Spike's lover Julia (Elena Satine) as well as the shadow from his crime syndicate past, Vicious (Alex Hassell).

The series recently received its first full trailer, showcasing a wide range of locales, characters and even the spaceship Bebop itself, set to music from returning composer Yoko Kanno. But perhaps the most surprising parts of the trailer to fans of the anime were the changes in character dynamics between the three main bounty hunters. Among the adaptation's most noticeable changes were Spike being older than Jet, as well as the two being more friends than business partners. Moreover, the trailer suggested that Jet may be more supportive of Faye's inclusion in the group than either he or Spike were of her in the anime, with little detail contextualizing the change being provided in the preview.

More images from Netflix's Cowboy Bebop were also shared recently, including stills of Spike interacting with Faye and Jet in addition to a first look at Ein, the team's lovable Corgi companion. Fans were also treated to the anime's iconic intro sequence remade with the live-action cast and Kanno's recognizable score "Tank!" in "Lost Session" teaser trailer that dropped earlier this month.

Cowboy Bebop will stream exclusively on Netflix beginning Nov. 19.
