Netflix has released the first full trailer for its live-action Cowboy Bebop remake.

The streaming company has previewed the series before with the release of its opening title sequence and The Lost Session, an original mini-episode intended to give fans a preview of the live-action show's look and feel, but the new trailer provides a deeper look into the series itself. Notable highlights from the trailer include a better view of the exterior of the Bebop, the beat-up old spaceship that the show's bounty hunters call home, as well as more footage of Spike and Faye interacting, which shows that the two seem to have a slightly frostier relationship in the live-action series than their anime counterparts did. The trailer also offers a few glimpses of some of the foes the show's space cowboys will go up against, including the bizarre Mad Pierrot and Spike's former friend turned nemesis, Vicious.

Cowboy Bebop stars Star Trek Beyond and Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay's John Cho as Spike Spiegel, a perpetually hungry martial artist whose laid-back attitude serves as a mask for a painful and violent past. Joining him is his new partner, a former cop turned bounty hunter named Jet Black, who is played by actor Mustafa Shakir. Shakir previously played the role of the Bushmaster in the second season of Netflix's Luke Cage series. The two form a reluctant partnership with the opportunistic but talented Faye Valentine, who is portrayed in live-action by Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom's Daniella Pineda. André Nemec, who previously worked on Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Hulu's High Fidelity adaptation, serves as the new show's executive producer and showrunner. Shinichiro Watanabe, who directed the original, critically acclaimed 1998 anime series, returned to the series as a creative consultant. Yoko Kanno, the composer who created the anime series' iconic soundtrack, also penned the score for the new series.

The original Cowboy Bebop anime was released in 1998 and received near-universal critical acclaim upon its release for its movie-quality animation, its catchy, jazz and blues-inspired soundtrack, and its unique blend of comedy, action and often melancholic and deeply affecting stories. Set in the near-future where humanity has abandoned the Earth due to a catastrophic accident and now lives on colonies spread out across the solar system, the series tells the story of a group of incredibly skilled but unlucky bounty hunters who find themselves crossing paths with petty criminals, escaped laboratory experiments, organized crime syndicates and more.

The live-action remake will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 19. The entire 26 episode anime series is also currently available for streaming on Netflix and Funimation.
