No sooner did Sony Pictures tease "Zombieland 2" at CinemaCon than reports have begun to circulate that the fabled sequel could begin filming sooner than anyone expected.

According to Bloody Disgusting, "various casting sites" contend cameras are expected to roll in August in Atlanta on the follow-up to the surprise 2009 hit. That's a long way from an official announcement, but considering the film's title was included earlier this month in a montage of the studio's upcoming releases -- alongside "MIB 23," "Blade Runner 2" and others -- there may be something to the reports.

"Zombieland" (and "Deadpool") co-writer Rhett Reese insisted in February that, despite delays and an ill-fated detour, the sequel was very much alive and kicking. “They’ve had a couple writers take a crack at it," he said. "We’re still exec producers and we’re guiding and helping where we can, and I think there’s still very much talk about it, but I think it has to be right. I think all the actors and Ruben [Fleischer, the director] all feel like there’s no reason to do it again if we’re not getting it exactly right.”

Jesse Eisenberg, who starred alongside Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin in the original, said that same month a sequel "would be wonderful to do." "It takes place in this odd, created world and features an ensemble of interesting characters that it’d be curious to see more of," he said. "I would hope that it happens, and I’m sure everybody would be happy to do it if it happens and it’s good. It’s also a strangely beloved movie, so it’s a thing you have to get right.”

Clearly, many of the key players want to make a "Zombieland" sequel, but do they want to make it in Atlanta in August?
