After being propelled to international stardom as Rey in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Daisy Ridley could be looking to headline another movie franchise.

Deadline contends the 23-year-old is among a number of young actresses being considered for the role of Lara Croft in the long-developing "Tomb Raider" reboot from Warner Bros. and MGM.

The website cautions that while conversations have taken place, it's very early in the casting process, and no offers have been made.

Roar Uthaug ("The Wave") is on board to direct the film, which has been in the works since 2011 (it was originally targeted for release in 2013, to coincide with Square Enix’s video game reboot “Tomb Raider").

Archaeologist-adventurer Lara Craft was famously portrayed by Angelina Jolie in two movie adaptations, 2001’s “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” and 2003’s “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life,” which grossed a combined $432 million worldwide.
