The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just about to finish up with Phase Three of its 11 year run of superhero films. But, the blockbuster juggernaut won't be slowing down, as it continues to break records across the globe! Kevin Feige and his team of talented creators are thinking about what's in store for Phase Four of Marvel Studios' movies. With the films going cosmic with the first Guardians of the Galaxy back in 2014, the success of this side of the universe means that there will be a continued exploration of the Marvel cosmos, with films such as the Eternals

The objects that have defined the past 11 years have also been of cosmic origin. With the last two Avengers films based around the infinity gauntlet and the stones that it wields; this weapon has been a critical feature of Thanos' quest to balance the universe. With Phase Four continuing to rely upon characters, plots, and locations outside of Earth, here's a list of 10 cosmic weapons we'd like to see featured in the future of the MCU.

10 NORN STONES

Thor Ragnarok Loki

Created by the Mistress of Magic Karnilla, the Norn Stones are powerful magical objects that are most associated with Asgard. These stones seemingly have unlimited power, with many who wield them using them in entirely different ways. They are mostly used by Loki throughout the comics, although the magical thug the Hood once got his hands on some, using them to commit crime and inflict pain across New York.

With Asgard gone, there may be quite a few magical artifacts floating around across the universe. However, since Loki is so linked with them and the Disney+ series will be a part of Phase Four, it seems fitting that the Norn Stones show up in his streaming show, helping the trickster god have an edge over his other opponents.

9 KANG'S TIME TRAVELLING CHAIR

With Avengers: Endgame dealing with the concept and consequences of time travel, many feel that Kang the Conqueror will be the next villain that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will have to face. The distant relative of Reed Richards, this future imperial ruler usually appears when something has gone wrong with timeline, forcing him to deal with whoever caused the disturbance.

The powerful time-traveling chair that Kang sits in is the source of a lot of his power. Not only can it do what the name suggests, but also has a number of other capabilities, with offensive and defensive systems in place to protect its user. The Conqueror from the future is a mighty foe if he is sat in his throne and it would be great to see both Kang and his seat show up in Phase Four.

8 MANDARIN'S TEN RINGS

The character of the Mandarin has already infamously appeared in Iron Man 3 although not quite in the way fans expected. Operating under the organization the Ten Rings, that has been the main reference to these powerful pieces of jewelry, apart from a few fakes worn by the impostor. With the real Mandarin teased to exist in the Marvel One-Shot All Hail the Kingit's possible we get a better portrayal of the character in Phase Four, with his cosmic weapons.

The Ten Rings each represent a different aspect of power. Their abilities include the manipulation of elements such as ice and fire, telekinetic qualities, alongside the use of electricity and light amongst other powers. These weapons were found in an alien spacecraft and we think they would be perfectly wielded on screen finally, by the man most associated with them.

7 THE CRIMSON GEM OF CYTTORAK

Created by a creature of cosmic proportions, seen to both be a demon as well as a god, this Crimson Gem is closely linked to one particular character's origins. The Gem can grant its wielders access to an unlimited potential of power, as not only is it a weapon in itself but it creates a weapon from its user.

The X-Men foe the Juggernaut found the Gem of Cyttorak and gained his powers from it. He has become a living weapon, with an unstoppable force; once he starts moving forward nothing can stop his momentum. It's a dangerous tool for any villain, especially the brother of Charles Xavier. With the move of the X-Men franchise from FOX to Disney, we could be seeing this Gem and the Juggernaut's origins in the near future.

6 HERCULES' GOLDEN MACE

Odinson sides with Hydra Captain America

With Hercules heavily rumored to be a main player in The Eternals, it is fitting that his weapon of choice should be alongside the Greek hero. The demi-god and son of Zeus has used a Golden Mace across the comics for many years. Created by the god of forgery, Hephaestus, the mace is made of adamantium. This is the same material that Wolverine's bones are coated in, an unbreakable metal substance.

The Mace is, therefore, an incredibly impactful weapon and one that would be useful if Hercules will be traveling the cosmos alongside the other Eternals, in order for the Grecian to be even more formidable.

5 WRECKING CREW CROWBAR

You wouldn't realize it, but the b-list villains the Wrecking Crew actually gain their powers from the magical and cosmic objects they use. The Wrecker, the leader of the group, was gifted magic in his crowbar after he was mistaken for Loki. He then encouraged his brethren to help him spread this magic across to them and any weapons they wish to use, forming a cosmic and magical team of thugs.

The weapons of the Wrecking Crew are unique as the powers fuelling them are Asgardian. With Phase Four needing a brand new set of villains we'd love to see these misfits gain their powerful weapons from a cosmic entity and cause havoc across the MCU.

4 ALL-BLACK THE NECRO SWORD

All-Black is the creation of Knull the symbiote god and is a kind of living creature. The cosmic sword earned the name the god slayer because of its use by Knull to kill a variety of gods. The weapon is so powerful that it is presented as pure death.

With the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer teasing multiple universes, this may be a way in which Venom is brought into the MCU. If this is the case then Knull is absolutely a future villain that will be explored, although the Necro Sword can also be taking away from Knull, instead used by someone else in the cosmos, perhaps as part of the Asgardians of the Galaxy

3 THE EVIL EYE OF AVALON

Perhaps one of the most powerful weapons in all of the Marvel Universe, this Eye is an object that many villains have searched for over the years. Its abilities are truly impressive as it has the capability of changing or manipulating matter right down to its molecules.

Such a weapon could be even more dangerous than the likes of an infinity stone, with its user able to bend matter through sheer will. Created by alchemists in the otherworld known as Avalon, one of Marvel's heroes or villains may come across this piece of hardware when journeying through the multiverse.

2 HEART OF THE UNIVERSE

No one quite understands the Heart of the Universe but it is exactly what it says it is. An entity of pure energy, such a force can be used in an offensive way, with its cosmic abilities used to dominate the galaxy. Featured in an out of continuity Marvel story, the Heart's energy was used by Thanos as a weapon to dominate the universe.

With the MCU searching deeper into its universe's origins, at some point the characters that inhabit it will find the Heart of everything. The chances are that one villainous foe will wish to weaponize its potential. This could be the next big cosmic threat worthy of the Avengers.

1 JARNBJORN

Thor looked pretty great wielding both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker in Avengers: Endgame. With Captain America returning the god's original Hammer back to its own time, it's got us thinking that maybe a second weapon wouldn't be so bad.

Jarnjorn is the ax that Thor wielded as a younger man before he ever held Mjolnir. While not as powerful, it is a mighty weapon worthy of the Thunder God, with a great design and Asgardian level power. It might be just the thing to help Thor get his mojo back amongst his new teammates.
