The first trailer for the upcoming sci-fi action film Cosmic Sin starring Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo has been released, along with an official launch date and synopsis.

Returning to the sci-fi genre, Willis plays retired Military General James Ford. Although Ford has been spending his time being served space-whiskey by robot bartenders, he is reluctantly brought back into military service by Grillo's character, General Eron Ryle, to respond to a mysterious alien threat. The movie takes place in the year 2524, 400 years after humanity has explored and colonized various planets. After a group of soldiers and scientists on a remote planet are attacked by a fleet of aliens, Ford teams up with Ryle and a team of elite soldiers to fight for the human race and stop the alien incursion in what is called Operation: Cosmic Sin. The trailer is tense and packed with futuristic action as Ford and his crew promise to be humanity's last hope for survival in the impending interstellar war.

Not much was shown in the new trailer regarding the aliens themselves, however, it was previously revealed that the hostile species has the unique ability to infect and control other beings.

From a screenplay by Corey Large (It Follows) and co-written and directed by Edward Drake (Breach), principal photography for Cosmic Sin wrapped in March 2020. Drake previously worked with Willis on another interplanetary sci-fi project in Breach, which followed the crew of the spaceship Hercules trying to transport the last of humanity to New Earth until an outbreak onboard threatens to turn the crew into zombies.

It was previously announced that WWE star Lana (real name C.J. Perry) will also have a major role in the film. Last March, she shared a behind-the-scenes look at her and Bruce Willis' costumes, describing her character Sol as "the best warrior, the best sniper, the best assassin." According to Perry, the role was previously written for a male actor before being retooled to work for a woman.
