Tom Hanks posted a positive update regarding his and wife Rita Wilson's coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnosis.On Twitter, Hanks shared that he and his wife are feeling better following their reveal that they were diagnosed with coronavirus. The couple is currently self-quarantined in Australia.

"Hey, folks. Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better," Hanks tweeted. "Sheltering in place works like this: You don't give it to anyone - You don't get it from anyone. Common sense, no? Going to take awhile, but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts...this, too, shall pass. We can figure this out. Hanx."

Hanks and Wilson were in Australia for pre-production on an Elvis Presley biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann. However, the film's production has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Since their announcement about testing positive for coronavirus, Hanks and his wife have been updating fans on social media regarding their life in self-quarantine and how their health has been. Wilson recently shared video of her reading the Ender's Game novel then rapping to Naughty by Nature's "Hip Hop Hooray."

Other celebrities have also tested positive for coronavirus, including Thor: Ragnarok's Idris Elba, who said he was inspired by Hanks to reveal his diagnosis.
