One of the many productions affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that's reverberating across the entertainment industry the final season of The CW's Supernatural.Production on the final stretch of episodes for Season 15 came to a halt due to concerns regarding coronavirus, leaving the series finale unfilmed. Now, with reports surfacing that many television series that have similarly suspended production may not return to conclude filming their respective seasons, Supernatural producer and director Jim Michaels has assured fans that the finale will be produced in some form.

Season 15 brought back many familiar faces and tropes from throughout Supernatural's lengthy history, building up to a final battle between Sam and Dean Winchester and a vengeful God. As the longest-running sci-fi/fantasy series in the history of American television, Supernatural has thrilled millions of fans around the world since its debut in 2005. News of Season 15 being its final installment first broke soon after its renewal notice in May 2019.
