Curb Your Enthusiasm's Larry David has shared a message urging people to stay at home and self-isolate to help combat the further spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a video uploaded to the Office of the Governor of California's Twitter account, David quipped about how he doesn't usually do these kinds of things, but wanted to take a moment to address the "idiots" flagrantly ignoring coronavirus safety measures. "Hello, I'm Larry David. Obviously, somebody put me up to this, 'cause it's generally not the kind of thing I do, but I basically want to address the idiots out there," he said. "You know who you are. You're going out, I don't know what you're doing…you're socializing too close, it's not good. You're hurting old people like me. Well, not like me, I have nothing to do with you, I'll never see you."

David then suggested how people are ignoring an opportunity to be able to self-isolate, stay at home and just watch TV without being disturbed. He also added how the only people who might be passing up a chance to relax in safety are dim.

"But, you know, other -- let's say, other older people who might be your relatives, who the hell knows," he said. "The problem is you're passing up a fantastic opportunity -- a once in a lifetime opportunity -- to stay in the house, sit on the couch and watch TV. I don't know how you're passing that up. Well, maybe 'cause you're not…you're not that bright, but here it is: Go home. Watch TV. That's my advice to you."

David finished by saying, if you've ever watched Curb Your Enthusiasm, you'll know that "nothing good ever happens going out of the house."
