Chris Evans, who plays Captain America/Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has never been shy about criticizing United States President Donald Trump. Now, the Marvel star has shared his disdain for the way Trump has handled the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation."The president just ran off stage after his rambling press conference without answering a single question," Evans tweeted following Trump's press briefing to address the coronavirus pandemic. "America wants answers. America wants leadership. America doesn’t want a president who runs off stage during a crisis and lets Mike Pence do all the talking."

The press briefing Evans was commenting on featured several health officials and Vice President Mike Pence in attendance."We’re all going to be great, we’re going to be so good," Trump said at one point. Pence would end up fielding many of the questions, as Trump left the stage shortly after giving his statement.

At the time of this writing, coronavirus has claimed the lives of over 6,500 people worldwide and in the U.S., there are over 3,500 reported cases of people infected with the virus. The coronavirus outbreak has also caused the cancellations and delays of many events, including SXSW, where Evans was scheduled to make an appearance.
