Cool Story About a Real-Life Superhero

Readers Elijah AND Duncan BOTH suggested I mention this on the blog, and if TWO people ask you to feature something, it must be good, right?

A young, comic book-loving autistic boy in Thailand had climbed out onto a balcony during his first day at his new school and refused to be helped by anyone, including firefighters who had been called in to help.

Firefighter Somchai Yoosabai, overhearing the boy's interest in superheroes, went back to the fire station and put on a Spider-Man costume (that the firefighters sometimes use when giving fire safety talks at schools) and the boy allowed himself to be rescued by "Spider-Man."

Great story. Click here to read more about it.
