Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer in Keanu Reeves' Constantine film, has revealed that a sequel to the fan-favorite film is in the works.

Stormare posted a photo of his Constantine character to Instagram. The image had a caption under it that reads, "In Constantine, Peter Stormare plays one of the best versions of Satan in film history." Stormare followed this up with the simple caption, "Sequel In The Works."

Producer Akiva Goldsman previously shared during a Comic-Con@Home panel that a sequel to the 2005 film would have featured Constantine meeting Jesus in prison. "I love that one of [John] wakes up in a cell, he has to identify a prisoner. Remember? It was [screenwriter Frank Cabello’s] idea. [The prisoner] was Jesus."

"I think we’d probably make it tomorrow," he added. "We tried a lot of different ways…to the studios who make it, which was Village Roadshow and Warner Bros., it was always sort of a feathered fish."

Directed by Francis Lawrence, Constantine stars Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf, Djimon Hounsou, Peter Stormare and Tilda Swinton.
