Ahead of John Constantine joining the regular cast of The CW's Legends of Tomorrow, the character's animated series is getting a televised special on the network.

Constantine: The Legend Continues, which was originally broadcast on The CW's digital platform CW Seed earlier this year as Constantine: City of Demons, will be broadcast on the television channel this October.

The special, hosted by Constantine actor Matt Ryan, will air on Monday, October 15 at 9 PM ET/PT immediately following the Arrow Season 7 premiere. The one-hour special will be followed by a sneak peek at the upcoming fourth season of Legends of Tomorrow, which will see Ryan reprise his fan-favorite role in live-action, with exclusive interviews with the DCTV's cast and crew.

Ryan had first portrayed the DC Comics demon hunter in an eponymous series that ran for a season on NBC for a single season from 2014 to 2015. Since the series' cancellation, Ryan has reprised the role in special appearances on Arrow and a recurring role in Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow before being announced as joining the main cast for its upcoming season.
