Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released the first trailer for The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.

The trailer begins with a police officer encountering a horrified-looking young man covered in blood. This sets the stage for Ed and Lorraine Warren's latest case, which involves a murder that took place in broad daylight that's believed to be the result of demonic possession. During their investigation, the Warrens discover a witch's totem in the home of the man on trial and believe the entire family has been cursed.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.

Directed by Michael Chaves, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It stars Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook and Julian Hilliard. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max June 4.
