Confirmed: "The Flash" Movie's Iris West Is "Dope" Actress Kiersey Clemons

Kiersey Clemons' ("Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising") role in the upcoming "Flash" film has been confirmed to be reporter Iris West, the classic love interest of Barry Allen, AKA The Flash. Clemons is reuniting with director Rick Famuyiwa for film.

According to Variety, West is described as "the tough-as-nails journalist and friend of Barry Allen, the alter ego of the Flash" in the movie.

Before Famuyiwa was attached to the project, Seth Grahame-Smith was hired to write and direct "The Flash," until parting ways with Warner Bros. over creative differences. Regardless, Grahame-Smith's most recent draft, based on a treatment by "The LEGO Movie's" Phil Lord and Chris Miller, is being used for the script.

Before "The Flash" races into theaters on March 16, 2018, star Ezra Miller is set to appear as the Scarlet Speedster in Zack Snyder's "Justice League," which releases on November 17, 2017.
