With D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, currently underway, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed not only new Star Wars content, but an official timeline for the galaxy far, far away.The timeline was tweeted by Ryan Penagos, Vice President and Creative Executive of Marvel New Media. The timeline features all of the films (including upcoming The Rise of Skywalker), animated series and even the Galaxy's Edge theme park.RELATED: Star Wars: What Happened in Obi-Wan's Desert Years?

This new timeline also confirms the official titles for each era of the series. Prequels (the first chronological episodes as well as Clone Wars) take place during the "Age of Republic" timeline, while works between Solo: A Star Wars Story and Return of the Jedi take place at the "Age of Rebellion" and everything between Resistance and The Rise of Skywalker exist within the "Age of Resistance. Those who are eager to watch the full franchise in chronological order are sure to take advantage of this new timeline.

Created by George Lucas, the Star Wars franchise launched in 1977 with A New Hope. The series has grossed over $9 billion combined at the box office, making it one of the highest-grossing film franchises ever. There have been comics, books, video games and various other media based on the universe.

Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film arrives Dec. 20.
