ComiXology Originals Debuting New Titles Every Week in September

Amazon's digital comics service comiXology announced four new original titles set to release throughout September. Starting on Sept. 4, a new comic series will debut each week digitally for Amazon Prime members through Prime Reading, Kindle Unlimited and comiXology Unlimited with a print version being available for purchase through Amazon's website.

Breaklands will release on Sept. 4. Breaklands is a five-issue comic book series with a story set 150 years in an apocalyptic future where everyone has powers except for Kasa Fain, a woman on a mission to find her kidnapped brother. The comic is written by Justin Jordan, with art by artist Tyassetta, colors by Sarah Stern and lettering by Rachel Deering.

Another five-issue series debuts on Sept. 11 called Field Tripping, a story about a teacher who possesses an interdimensional school bus and gets stranded with her students on a world that's not theirs. Field Tripping includes art by José García and a story co-written by James Asmus and Jim Festante.

On Sept. 18, readers can pick up Issue #1 of the new series The Black Ghost. Co-written by acclaimed novelist Alex Segura and Monica Gallagher, The Black Ghost follows journalist Lara Dominguez as she attempts to solve the mystery of the the Black Ghost's identity. The Black Ghost has colors by Ellie Wright and lettering by Taylor Esposito.

Releasing on Sept. 25, Quarter Killer is a cyberpunk-themed action story surrounding Quentin Kidd, an ex-corporate computer hacker who offers their services to those willing to pay in quarters, an untraceable form of payment. Quarter Killer is co-written by Vita Ayala and Danny Lore, with art by Jamie Jones and lettering by Ryan Ferrier.
