Coming 2 America just hit Amazon Prime Video and actor Eddie Murphy is already talking about filming another sequel. However, fans might have to wait a long time to see it.

"There's an idea for a Coming to America 3 that I have, but it doesn’t happen for 16 years," Murphy told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. "I have to be 75 to do it, and not make me up like 75 but really be 75."

While on Live With Kelly and Ryan, Murphy described the original Coming to America film as a true fairytale and Coming 2 America as a happily-ever-after fairytale disrupted by a very modern-day problem. The much-anticipated sequel took over thirty years to make its way to fans and therefore it's not a big surprise that the next film would take 16 years to come to fruition.

16 years would make Murphy 75 years old, and according to him, the perfect age for the third film. Although Murphy revealed that he has a plan for Coming to America 3, he did not provide any more details about the movie's plot or any hint about whether the same cast will return.

Directed by Craig Brewer, Coming 2 America stars Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha and Bella Murphy. The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
