July 11

Brooklyn, N.Y. | The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund continues the Conversational Comics speaker panel with Jessica Abel, Jason Little, Matthew Thurber and Bill Kartalopoulos at Union Pool. The group will talk about the nature of narrative and fiction in comics.

"We’ll consider forms of storytelling that comics can adapt, and others that comics can generate," Kartalopoulos said. "Then stick around to get a book signed, hit the taco truck and sip a summer drink with our featured cartoonists."

Las Vegas | Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III will sign at Alternate Reality Comics from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Comic Oasis from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Details here.



Los Angeles | A wake, of sorts, for the Vertigo series 100 Bullets at Meltdown Comics. The event features Brian Azzarello and Dave Johnson, live music, shot glasses, T-shirts, food and more. Tickets are required and benefit the Hero Initiative. More details here.
