Comic Store Owner Shaves Head for ACTOR

Official Press Release

TORONTO, CANADA -- Never has one man given up so little for so much!

Peter Dixon, owner and operator of Paradise Comics and promoter of the Paradise Comics Toronto Comicon, has announced that he will give up his hair for charity…if comic fans do their part as well.

Dixon will shave his head at the Paradise Comics Toronto Comicon April 28-30 if fans donate $1000 to A.C.T.O.R., A Commitment To Our Roots, via PayPal between now and the start of the con at 3 PM on April 28. An easy-to-click method for making donations, and accompanying Dixon hair-ometer, is now available at A.C.T.O.R.'s Website at http://www.actorcomicfund.org/pages/pr/shavefund.htm

"I admire both Peter's generosity, and his ability to endure public embarrassment," said A.C.T.O.R. President Jim McLauchlin. "I'm starting this off with $20 of my own to kick things off. Now somebody else match me, and we'll be well on our way to putting him in the George Pérez Hair Club For Men!"

George Pérez, the A.C.T.O.R. Board member and attendee of the Paradise Convention who also sports a stylishly shaved dome said, "Trust me, for I know of what I speak-- my shiny dome has been the ideal canvas for the exhibition of the latest popular shades of lipstick! I think this is a really clever way of serving a good cause-and becoming a chick magnet!"

The delicately coiffed Dixon can be seen in his pristine, hair-covered state between now and April 27 at Paradise Comics, 3278 Younge St., Toronto, Ontario. For more information on the Paradise Comics store, click www.ParadiseComics.com.
