THE WALKING DEAD

Jeffrey Dean Morgan spoke about playing Negan during an appearance at a "Supernatural" convention in Pasadena over the weekend.

"I've kind of become accustomed to playing sort of the good guy. You know, maybe a rough exterior with a heart of gold in there somewhere," said Morgan, as reported by ComicBook.com. "I think the challenge for me in this role is going to be: Is there any heart in Negan? And for me, I look at that as a challenge as an actor and that's the kind of thing I embrace and really look forward to. I'm super-excited about it. It's going to be cool... I promise you, it will be something different than what you've seen me do."

JESSICA JONES

Variety has a report about piracy activity over the weekend. "Jessica Jones" attracted over 663,000 unique IP addresses downloading episodes of its first season, which is half the amount of piracy activity "Daredevil" experienced when it deputed in April.

Netflix is still releasing teasers for "Jessica Jones," including this new one tying the series to "Daredevil."

And CBR has an interview with head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb, where he talked about what he was proud to accomplish with the series.

"What many people are responding to is, it's a confusing time out there for a lot of people -- what they want to do with their lives, how they're going to achieve that," said Loeb. "'Jessica Jones' opens that door, and tells that story in a way that is extremely relatable. It's one of the many things it does -- it's also very much about a woman who's had something extraordinarily terrible happen to her, and hopefully in a very aspirational way, what we see is how she picks herself up and moves forward in her life. That's something that is really basic Marvel. The quote that I like to refer to all the time from 'Daredevil: Yellow' [by Loeb and Tim Sale]: 'The measure of a man is not how he got knocked down to the mat, but how he picks himself up.' In this case, it's the measure of a woman."
