COMIC REEL: "Supergirl's" Ratings Soar In Canada; "Arrow" EP Addresses Damien Darhk Rumor

CBS' new superhero drama had a similarly big night with Canadian audiences; "Arrow's" Wendy Mericle talks Darhk's appeal and more.

SUPERGIRL

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, "Supergirl" has successfully soared into Canada. The show's premiere scored the biggest overnight audience of this TV season. The pilot episode, which aired on Global Television in Canada, was watched by 1.7 million viewers according to Numeris overnight data.

A number of clips and a trailer for the second episode, "Stronger Together," have also been released by CBS.

Premieres October 26 on CBS

Ahead of next week's new "Flash" episode, the CW has released a batch of promo stills for "The Darkness and the Light" that show off more of incoming DC heroes Hawkgirl (in her civilian persona, played by Ciara Renee) and Doctor Light.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Pom Klementieff has been cast in an unidentified "key role" in the "Guardians" sequel. According to the report, Marvel had been searching for an Asian actress to fill the role. Klementieff was chosen after a wide search and series of chemistry reads.
