COMIC REEL: “Suicide Squad” Cast Photo Inspires New Rumors; “Daredevil” Aims For “PG-15” Tone

Director David Ayer gave fans a glimpse of the film’s cast via a photo posted to his Twitter feed.

The photo includes Will Smith (Deadshot), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc). Noticeably absent is Jared Leto, who will play Joker in the film. A trio of previously unannounced actors — Jim Parrack, Ike Barinholtz and Adam Beach — can be seen in the photo, and Umberto Gonzalez has posted a rumor to his Instagram feed that may reveal all three of their roles.

Two new clips from “Daredevil” have emerged featuring a brutal fight and a familial meal.

Netflix has also released a new featurette focusing on Matt Murdock.

CBR has a new interview with actor Charlie Cox wherein the “Daredevil” star talks about his emergence as a role model.

“You know, when we went to [New York] Comic Con, we had a Q & A at the end of it,” said Cox. “And there was a young boy who got up — probably 12-years old. He’d come from the hospital, and he was going to be put back. I forget, but I think he said he had Cystic Fibrosis or something, and he talked about how important Daredevil is to him because he’s a character with a physical disability who’s overcome that adversity in life. And I remember listening to this boy talking, and I remember thinking, it was first time it really hit home to me how important this character is to so many people. And for more than just entertainment purposes. It was a very humbling moment. So I hope so. I really hope so. It’s like Stan Lee said, ‘With great power comes great responsibility.’ And I hope I’m afforded the possibility to touch peoples’ lives in that way.”

Entertainment Weekly has a new still from “Daredevil” featuring the Man Without Fear going up against Bob Gunton’s Leland Owlsley.

To celebrate Deadpool’s 250th issue — as well as his death — Ryan Reynolds posted a pic of the big screen DP to his Twitter feed.
