X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Bryan Singer loves posting teases to Instagram, and his latest features himself posing with Channing Tatum -- a.k.a. Gambit -- with a cryptic caption.

Always wanted to work with this guy! ;) #XMen #Gambit @channingtatum A photo posted by Bryan Singer (@bryanjaysinger) on

This shouldn't be taken as confirmation that Gambit is in "X-Men: Apocalypse." The two did just spend the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, so this isn't coming from the movie's set or anything. It's possible Gambit will play a role in the film, but so far it looks like Singer's content to keep fans guessing.

One person will have a cameo, however, and that man is Stan Lee. Business Insider's rundown of the iconic creator's SDCC panel includes Lee's comments on his latest cameo.

"I did a cameo for the next 'X-Men' movie," said Lee, earning some whispers and looks from the moderator and Marvel employees. "When you say I'm not allowed [to talk about it] -- will I be arrested?... When you go see the next 'X-Men' movie when it comes out, and see my fantastic cameo, you will say, 'I remember he told me about it here. It's a different cameo in that it has one additional thing in it."

AGENT CARTER

Coming Soon has an interview with the "Agent Carter" crew about the show's expanding mythology and upcoming second season.

Star Hayley Atwell was asked if she was frustrated by the reveal in modern Marvel movies that Peggy eventually gets married and the fact that fans focused on who her husband will be. "No, because the possibility of getting married doesn't take away from her ambition in the workplace but it does give her companionship and that's something I'd like her to have," answered Atwell. "And that's quite a journey for her to have, how to balance home and work life, which is something that's still going on today."

Co-showrunner Tara Butters also spoke about season 2's villains, saying they come from Marvel Comics. "The antagonists ... I will say ... exist in Marvel comics," said Butters. "A version of it. There's a group ... I can say this ... called the Secret Empire. And there's something called the Darkforce from the comic book universe. Blackout, who was in 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' was created by Darkforce. It comes out of the Doctor Strange universe as well so that's going to show up."

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

In an interview with CBR, series stars Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennet spoke about "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" upcoming second season and how "Secret Warriors" will factor in.

"I'll be able to tell you more in about a week when I get a script," said Gregg. "I can tell you that it's clear that it's Secret Warriors. Oh, God, it's covert ops! And the thing that's always true of our show is -- I'm familiar with 'Secret Warriors' in the comics, but as iterated on our show and in the TV and cinematic world, it's a different thing. It's new and involves some people -- we're doing a version of it on 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' so that means that we're going to try to gather people like Skye on a very, very top secret team. So I have a feeling that once again, Coulson will be wrangling some very special people. And that can really go wrong, and sometimes it can go really right."

Bennet also spoke to the growth Skye has experienced since discovering her inhuman power. "I was thinking about that in the car ride and thinking about the growth that Skye has -- how far she's come since the first episode," said Bennet. "I feel like Chloe's still at the first episode, but Skye has evolved so much. So I'm actually a little nervous to play someone who's so confident in her abilities, so it's going to be a challenge. But I'm excited."

ANT-MAN

Michael Douglas rang the NYSE Closing Bell yesterday, harkening back to his Academy Award winning turn in "Wall Street" while also promoting his upcoming Marvel movie, "Ant-Man."

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Collider has a recap of SDCC's "Women Who Kick Ass" panel, which includes details about Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman audition process. Gadot said that she was asked to audition for an unknown part at Warner Bros. and didn't know what she was testing for until after her audition, when she had returned to Israel.

Snyder called her and asked, "'Do you know what you're testing for?' I said, 'no.' And he said, 'Do you have Wonder Woman in Israel?' My jaw dropped." Gadot then revealed that the initial costume fitting was held in a room with images of herself in the costume surrounding her. She said she was in awe, "It blew my mind!" She called putting the suit on an "out of body experience" and added, "Here I am, this little girl from Israel, becoming Wonder Woman!" She complimented the costume, saying that it truly "represents the Wonder Woman of today."

CAPTAIN MARVEL

Wired spoke with "Captain Marvel" co-screenwriter Nicole Perlman and found out that writing the solo hero is harder than writing her previous Marvel script, "Guardians of the Galaxy."

"We've been talking a lot about archetypes and what we want this movie to be about and just how to write a strong female superhero without making it Superman with boobs," said Perlman. "[Co-writer] Meg [LeFauve] and I are doing a lot of brainstorming and we'll catch ourselves and say, 'Wait a minute, what are we saying [here] about women in power?' Then we have to say, 'Why are we getting so hung up on that? We should just tell the best story and build the best character.' And then we have this constant back-and-forth about how to tell a story that is compelling, entertaining, moving, kick-ass, and fun, and also be aware of what those larger implications might be. It's a lot more complicated than just writing 'Guardians.'"

DEADPOOL

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Ryan Reynolds revealed the origin of Deadpool's movie suit.

"Here's the thing with the Deadpool costume: we fought like hell to get that as though it jumped right out of the comic," said Reynolds. "Our goal was to make this the most faithful comic book to movie adaptation fans have ever seen. That's hard to accomplish and a feat, but we're just so happy with how this came out. But boy, we had to fight to get the suit to where it is now. There was a lot of work with very little time. Fox gave us the green light and we had to be on camera in twelve weeks."

Reynolds also revealed that seeing the real costume for the first time was an emotional moment.

"When we finally saw that suit, fully done, finished and completed...both [director] Tim Miller and I wept," said Reynolds. "I'm not even exaggerating, we wept in Simi Valley California in some warehouse where some guy makes all these crazy suits and had this one under a spotlight. We walked in and we wept. Tears coming down our cheeks. It felt so good."

SUICIDE SQUAD

Following the leak that led to the "Suicide Squad" sizzle reel finding its way online, Warner Bros. released the clip officially in all of its HD glory.

The studio also released a statement along with the footage.

"Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation."

SUPERGIRL

"Supergirl" stars Melissa Benoist and Mehcad Brooks spoke to USA Today about their upcoming CBS superhero show.

Benoist, who plays Supergirl, said it "feels amazing" to play a female hero in a genre mostly dominated by men. "It's high time for it. What I'm more excited about [is that] women have always been superheroes, but now is the time for one to be at the forefront of the story... There was a little girl from Paris yesterday in a Supergirl suit. She was so excited. There are moments like that where I'm like, 'This is someone I'm going to be affecting, someone I'm going to be a role model to.' So, the responsibility is definitely there."

Brooks also talked about his Jimmy Olsen, a character that's already been through the superhero wringer as Superman's best pal. "He's grown up a little bit," said Brooks. "This is what happens when you go to Superman confidence boot camp. You hang out with Superman enough, you're going to work out, change your clothes, maybe. He's a little different than the iconography. That's 75 years old. It's 2015, and we're righting some of these inequities that people from a monochromatic past had. They wrote what they knew. I don't blame anybody for that, but I think we're changing with the times."
