COMIC REEL: Russos Say It's "Anybody's Guess" Who Survives "Civil War"; Xavier, Magneto Suit Up On Magazine Cover

While speaking with Hey U Guys, directors Joe and Anthony Russo spoke about whether or not Chris Evans will wield the shield in "Infinity War."

"Look, we are moving into a phase now in the storytelling where, when we bring Captain America's story forward from 'Civil War,' it's going to be into 'Avengers: Infinity War,'" said Anthony Russo. "That's the next chapter, so to speak, in his specific story, and there's been no talk about where we go beyond that yet. Those are two gigantic movies that are intended to be the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, there's going to be storytelling that happens in those films that we haven't seen yet in the MCU. So who's to say what the condition of the characters are at that point? Who even makes it to that movie to begin with, but who makes it out of those movies is anybody's guess at this point."

While speaking with IGN, the director and screenwriters behind "Deadpool" and the upcoming sequel revealed why they chose Cable and what they're looking for in an actor.

"There's a lot about Cable's history that I like because he's so intertwined with the world of the X-Men" said director Tim Miller. "Why he was put together with Deadpool - other than that he was in a comic that wasn't selling well and Deadpool was in a comic that wasn't selling well so they put them together - it's the same reason we had Colossus; he's a straight man. And I think Deadpool needs a straight man. Cable is the ultimate, archetypal, silent, strong and cynical warrior, which Deadpool is not."

Screenwriter Rhett Reese said they are looking for an actor to play Cable that has "strength, gravitas, a purposefulness that Deadpool doesn't have. Deadpool's kind of got ADD, and we think of Cable as someone who locks onto something and is going to get that thing solved no matter what." Co-writer Paul Wernick added that the actor should also be "physically imposing."

In a New York Times profile of Margot Robbie, both the actress and director David Ayer commented on Harley Quinn's wardrobe.

Robbie said Harley Quinn is "wearing hot pants because they're sparkly and fun" and not because "she wanted guys to look at her ass. As Margot, no, I don't like wearing that. I'm eating burgers at lunchtime, and then you go do a scene where you're hosed down and soaking wet in a white T-shirt, it's so clingy and you're self-conscious about it."

Ayer added that he "didn't think denim overalls would be appropriate for that character," saying that Margot Robbie understood "that's part of the [character's] iconography."
