COMIC REEL: Plastique Rumored For "Suicide Squad"; "Daredevil's" DeKnight Talks Odds Of Punisher On Netflix

The Wrap has reported that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as Killer Croc in "Suicide Squad." The Wrap states representatives for Warner Bros. and Akinnuoye-Agbaje did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

It has also been reported that Karen Fukuhara -- with no listed IMDb credits, presumably a Hollywood newcomer -- has been cast in an as-yet undisclosed role. Latino Review's Umberto Gonzalez has a hunch about who she's playing, though, as revealed in the Instagram post below.

RT! #suicidesquad #skwad #RUMOR There is a minor female role on the actual Squad - #PLASTIQUE There is a scene with her set in a nightclub & the rumor is Karen Fukuhara is playing that role. Unconfirmed till further notice but Plastique is in the movie. #DC #dccu #dcmovie #dccomics #KarenFukuhara #SCOOP

Fashionista has an interview with Michael Wilkinson, the costume designer for "Batman V Superman" where he discusses working with director Zack Snyder.

"He really wants these characters to connect directly to our world," said Wilkinson. "So if you were walking down the street and you came across Superman or Batman -- of course it would be startling and powerful -- but it could actually happen in our world rather than in a stylized version of our reality."

Wilkinson discussed making the Batsuit more mobile, as well. "It's a very important thing to Zack that the Batsuit would be comfortable and very flexible, but then would be able to perform in a very natural and forceful way. So a lot of incredible engineering went into the development of the new black cowl."

SciFiNow has an interview with "Daredevil" showrunner Steven S. DeKnight where the writer talks about the possibility of Punisher coming to Netflix.

"I've been a huge fan of the Punisher comics for years," said DeKnight. "I'd love to see him get his due on a platform like this. Nothing would delight me more than to see the Punisher get his own show and maybe we could convince Marvel to go Hard-R rating. If any character deserves an R rating, it's the Punisher."

In an interview with Digital Spy, Dwayne Johnson discussed his decision to play Black Adam as opposed to Shazam in the upcoming DC Comics movie.

"All due respect to Shazam, Billy Batson, it's a mythology that I love, it's been with me for almost 10 years now," said Johnson. "I just inherently felt Black Adam was more interesting to me, because I felt like there were more layers to Black Adam, starting out as a slave and then ultimately becoming the anti-hero who we enjoy today."
