AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2Marc Webb has revealed B.J. Novak's character in "Amazing Spider-Man 2." "The Office" alum will portray Alistair Smythe in the upcoming sequel. The character was revealed via Twitter as the latest Spider-villain to grace the silver screen -- and considering Smythe's role as the creator of the Spider-Slayers, it could mean that audiences will see the deadly robots sooner rather than later.

AMERICAN GODSNew developments have arisen in the adaptation of Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" novel: FremantleMedia North America has acquired the rights to adapt the novel for television. The book was previously on track for an HBO series, but Gaiman revealed late last year that it was no longer in development at the network. No other details about the adaptation were revealed.
