THE FLASH

CBR News spoke with “The Flash’s” Jesse L. Martin about his role as Detective Joe West, and the challenges of being the most normal character on the show.

“The adjustment, basically, is just being even more grounded, because things get so, so crazy, things get so out of hand, that you have to be almost superhuman just to keep everybody grounded,” Martin told CBR. “You have to have the nerves of steel, if you will, even though I’m not a man of steel — just nerves of steel! I have to have logic and common sense where others may not use logic and common sense because they have powers. I have to actually be the most human in the room, which makes me feel kind of powerful.”

Debuts October 7 on The CW

GOTHAM

The newest promo for “Gotham” focuses on Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, and his handling of the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne. The featurette is pretty lengthy with quite a bit of new footage and interviews.

Debuts September 22 on FOX

VENOM

MTV spoke with Alex Kurtzman about the upcoming “Venom” solo film, and what to expect from a new take on the iconic Spider-Man villain.

“The idea is that you can do things with Venom that you can’t do with Spider-Man,” Kurtzman said. “Venom is the representation of every line that will get crossed. He’s a much darker character.”
