ARROW AND THE FLASH

The CW has released a Super Cut of the many DC Comics characters appearing across its superhero shows. There's no new footage here, but it's a fun look at the network's corner of the DCU.

Airs Tuesdays and Wednesday on The CW

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Schmoes Knows has it from a "very reliable Marvel source" that a secret female character will appear in Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The site reports that Mantis has a part in the upcoming blockbuster sequel.

Take this with a huge grain of salt, but Schmoes' source said, "This would seem to make a lot of sense as she 1) has direct ties to Thanos, 2) has even stronger ties to Vision, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch, 3) has a personal vendetta in the comics against Klaw and, most importantly 4) has been a prominent member of both The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy."

Klaw has previously been rumored to appear in the film, with many speculating the character is Andy Serkis' role. In the comic books, Mantis is a martial arts expert with a range of mind powers who is in constant conflict with Thanos and was once romantically linked to Vision.

BATKID BEGINS

Oscar winner Julia Roberts is set to produce and star in the feature-length remake of Dana Nachman's documentary "Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around the World." The film will follow the story of five-year-old Leukemia patient Miles as the Make-a-Wish Foundation turns downtown San Francisco into Gotham to fulfill the young boy's dream.

Roberts will also produce alongside Lisa Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill through Red Om Films. "Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard around the World" premieres this Saturday, January 24 in Park City at Slamdance Film Festival 2015.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

ComicBook.com reports that Michael Shannon may appear in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," though perhaps not in a very active role. Shannon played General Zod in "Man of Steel," who was killed during the film's climax. An unnamed source told the site that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will come into position of Zod's body and perform experiments on the corpse to expose a weakness in Superman. His tinkering reportedly "triggers the Doomsday genome," which leads to his resurrection as the classic Superman villain, Doomsday. This is simply speculation as of now, but fun speculation if nothing else.

SINISTER SIX

Movement on Sony Picture's planned "Sinister Six" movie seems to have stalled following the underwhelming performance of "Amazing Spider-Man 2," but that hasn't stopped them from working up some marketing materials. A Facebook post from Sony Pictures Brazil revealed an image of Vulture's wings and Doctor Octopus' tentacles with text that translates to "We have plans for you... many plans. #Spiderman." Whether or not this means Sony has begun moving forward with production on the film is unknown.
