BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Ben Affleck is feeling the pressure for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." In an interview with Variety, the upcoming Batman shared:

"I think there is a ton of pressure on it...I mean I would be bulls-ting you to say there isn't...We are a very kind of instant gratification culture when it comes to analyzing the film business. And there is a lot of hyperbole involved...Nonetheless, there's a lot of pressure on it. If it doesn't do well, that will be extremely disappointing."

While Affleck knows the "Man of Steel" sequel is high stakes, the "Gone Baby Gone" director says he's confident "next year [Warner Bros.] are going to have a great year," and went on to tout:

"They are now developing ... probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world. And now they have started to exploit that and you are going to see that blossom. And, when it does, it's going to be massive.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits screens on March 25.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Did we get our first look at Spider-Man in the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer?!

Probably not, but some people really think so. Some eagle-eyed fans screengrabbed the following pic from the trailer, which features a red-clad individual in the background. Could it be our first glimpse at Spider-Man, though? (via Culture Buff, ComicBook.com)

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

UK DCTV fans, fear not -- you'll be getting "Legends of Tomorrow" sometime in 2016.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the UK network Sky 1 has added DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" to its lineup for next year, alongside "The Flash" and "Arrow" on the channel, and the recently acquired "Supergirl."

"Supergirl" was reportedly a ratings smash for Sky 1 -- having been the network's biggest series debut since 2013, with an audience of 1.64 million viewers.

"Legends of Tomorrow" debuts January 21 on The CW in the US.

MS. MARVEL

The possibility of seeing Kamala Khan, a.k.a the modern Ms. Marvel, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting pretty good. Considering the character's massive popularity in comics and link to the Inhumans -- who have since become a major part of "Agents of SHIELD" -- lead us to believe that it's the right time for the character to reach mainstream audiences on the big (or small) screen.

When E! Online asked Marvel Head of TV Jeph Loeb about the possibility of seeing the latest incarnation of Ms. Marvel in live-action, he gave a pretty open (but optimistic) answer:

"Look, that's a character that has tremendous popularity and when that happens you know that I'm always looking around to see what we can do. We love the character, and one never knows."

While that's not much of an answer, it basically indicates that discussions about the character's live-action debut are being made at Marvel. Until then, we have the "Captain Marvel" movie to look forward to in 2019, when we'll see the original Ms. Marvel, Carol Danvers, in her own film.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

While it's pretty much guaranteed to make a ton, the latest box office projections for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" anticipate great success for Disney come the film's opening weekend in December.

Deadline reports the film could make an estimated $185 million -- on the low end -- and upwards of $210 million in its domestic debut at the weekend box office. This would put the film on par with the success of "Marvel's The Avengers," and just above "Jurassic World," which is, so far, the most successful film of the year. The site also notes that "The Force Awakens" is already poised to make $100 million in advance ticket sales by December.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits theatres December 18.
