During an appearance on the Hall of Justice podcast, storyboard artist Jay Oliva gave his theory about what Batman's "Knightmare" sequence really means.

"I don't know if this is Zack's thinking, but this is mine: what if that isn't a dream sequence?" asked Oliva, as transcribed by ScreenRant. "What if what you saw was a Time Boom, a latent memory from the future when Flash comes back? If you look at the cut, he doesn't go to sleep! He's waiting for the [Lexcorp file decryption] and suddenly this [Knightmare sequence] comes in, and he's jogged out of it seeing his own death. And what does he see? He sees Flash. And if you're a DC fan, you know what's happening. You know that Flash going back in time, that memory is now coming back to him... mind you, it's jumbled."

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Variety has announced that "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" two-hour season finale will air on May 17. ABC also released brief synopses for the final few episodes of the season.

May 3: "Failed Experiments"

"Loyalties are tested and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team must seek a decisive resolution to the looming Hive threat."

May 10: "Emancipation"

"In the aftermath of the events of Captain America: Civil War, S.H.I.E.L.D. feels pressure to reveal their involvement with Inhumans. But with the stakes higher than ever and Hive growing stronger, the team is tested in ways they could never anticipate."

May 17: TBA

"It's a showdown a season in the making as S.H.I.E.L.D. takes on Hive. With Hive's master plan finally revealed, the team must spring into action. Who will live and who will die?"

ABC has released a clip from tonight's "Spacetime" episode of the series.

The "S.H.I.E.L.D." cast also spoke with the press about the show's relationship with the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War."

"I think it's something that's gone on since the end of last season, when Coulson made Mack and Daisy partners," said Clark Gregg. "One's an Inhuman, and one seems to be the most suspicious of aliens and Inhumans. That division is very much manifested in our team. Our show is looking at this Inhumans outbreak, and that's really where the concept of a civil war -- our own version of it -- is happening. For my money, our focus is very much on dealing with it within our own show. It seems logical, from what I know about "Civil War," that that'll have repercussions on our show."

IZOMBIE

The CW has released a clip from tonight's "iZombie" episode, "The Way Liv Used To Be."

While talking to TV Line, Enrico Colantoni compared his character to the one he played on "Veronica Mars."

"What Keith Mars wasn't [was] amoral," said Colantoni of his "Veronica Mars" character. "For a private investigator in a noir environment, you really expect [him] to be morally compromised in some way, but Keith wasn't. But this guy, Lou Benedetto, is compromised. He'll break the rules. His integrity's intact, [but] his morality might not be."

SUICIDE SQUAD

Collider caught up with Common and talked to the actor about acting in scenes opposite Jared Leto's Joker in "Suicide Squad."

"Whatever way is necessary for you to be that person, so that you can let go and see The Joker, I love that," said Common of Leto's method acting. "From the time I stepped on the set, I was my character and he was his character. There was no in between. It wasn't like, 'Hey, man, how's your family doing?'

"I saw him at the Oscars, and I saw Margot Robbie, too," he continued. "It was almost the first time meeting each other. With Margot, it was a little different. But I was standing in my space, being the character, so I love that Jared Leto was doing that. The scene we have, we definitely were totally improving a lot of stuff, with some of it. Some of it, we got to improv on, but I don't know what they'll keep. When you're in that space, where another actor is that person, you can just live and let it be. I was really grateful. The was one of my most fun and invigorating experiences, as an actor, with the scene I had with Jared Leto, or The Joker."

Opens on August 5, 2016

SUPERGIRL

David Harewood has weighed in on whether or not he thinks CBS will renew "Supergirl" for season two.

"CBS has made some very positive noises," Harewood told Digital Spy. "All I know is that we've just had one of our biggest audiences of the year so far with the 'Flash' crossover, so it's all looking positive. The fans have been very vociferous and very vocal, so hopefully it's enough to get us a second season."
