THE WALKING DEAD

USA Today has a report on Robert Kirkman and the "Walking Dead's" appearance at SXSW over the weekend. Kirkman stated that while the AMC zombie drama has no end date in sight, he does know how the show will end

"It's a long arc," said Kirkman. "I don't anyone to ever get the impression that it's like, 'Oh, this is popular so I have to keep this going for years and years.' I definitely know the story that we are telling and I know how the story that we are telling ends."

Kirkman hinted that the series finale, which is many many years away, will come as a surprise to viewers. "Decades from now, you will be able look back and... you never would have guessed from the beginning where it was that we were going to end up," said Kirkman. "Having the luxury of telling a story over such a long period of time with so many diff characters is going end up with something really cool and unique when it's all said and done."

The creator also discussed the still untitled spinoff series that will air six episodes this summer. "We're going to be focusing a little bit earlier," said Kirkman. "There will be hints and moments in the second show that if you go back and watch the first season of 'The Walking Dead' will inform some of the discoveries that they had. It's going to be cool. We are trying to form an overall tapestry of a TV universe."

AMC has released a behind the scenes featurette starring Norman Reedus titled "Daryl's New Bike."

The cable network has also published a sneak preview of next week's episode, "Try."

Deadline has a report from "Arrow's" PaleyFest panel that hints at major changes coming to the series. Star Stephen Amell didn't reveal whether or not Oliver will take Ra's al Ghul up on his offer to lead the League of Assassins, but he did reveal that Arrow will take stock of his superhero career.

"That makes being the idea of being the person who commands the League of Assassins in any way that he sees fit really appealing," said Amell. "It's an offer in name only. If Oliver says no, there will be dire consequences."

Additionally, ComicBook.com has reported that Shado (Celina Jade) was included in footage screened at PaleyFest, thus revealing their return.
