THE FLASH

TV Line has some new information regarding season two's yet-to-be-cast new characters that speaks to the status of Barry Allen and Iris West's relationship.

Since season two starts moments after the end of season one and the death of Iris' fiance, "Flash" star Grant Gustin said that Eddie's demise will delay any chance of a Barry/Iris romance. "[Eddie's death] is definitely a factor, for sure," said Gustin. "Barry wants to be there for Iris as her best friend right now. And for Barry, too. It's too soon for everybody. Some tragic events just took place!"

The show will instead add a new character in the Central City Police Department that will have a potential romance with Gustin's Flash, and executive producer Geoff Johns told TV Line that she won't be the only new addition. "There are a lot of new characters coming in, not just the ones that have been leaked online," said Johns. "And they all will challenge relationships, in good and bad ways."

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Funko has revealed that they will have a limited edition two-pack of "Batman v Superman" bobblehead figures in tow when they arrive at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talked to Birth.Movies.Death about Black Panther -- specifically T'Challa's role in "Captain America: Civil War."

"The reason we introduced him in 'Civil War' is because we needed a third party," said Feige. "We needed fresh eyes who wasn't embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either Tony or Steve. We said, 'We need somebody like Black Panther... why don't we just use Black Panther?' That's how it went in the development process."

"Today, pre-'Civil War,' post-'Ultron' I think he and his father [T'Chaka] are saying, 'A bunch of vibranium just got out of here and wreaked a lot of havoc. Maybe we can't stay behind these borders anymore, maybe we have to stick our heads out and make at least an attempt to be a part of the rest of the world right now, while at the same time protecting our people.' That's sort of where we meet him in 'Civil War.'"

When asked if T'Challa will operate under the mantle of Black Panther in "Civil War," Feige admitted he didn't know how to reply "without spoiling" the film. "It is a role that he is still in the beginning phases of taking on, it's a mantle he is only beginning to take on because his father is older."

Feige also told iO9 that if Hulk appears in "Civil War," he won't be a major player. "[Hulk] is not a primary part of 'Civil War,'" said Feige. "He may not be a part at all."

DARK UNIVERSE

According to The Hollywood Reporter's coverage on New Line's taking over of DC's Vertigo properties, director Guillermo del Toro is "no longer attached" to "Justice League Dark"/"Dark Universe." The article doesn't rule out another filmmaker taking over for del Toro, who has been the driving force behind the movie since its inception.

DOCTOR STRANGE

While talking with Zap2It, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talked just a little bit more about "Doctor Strange" and where it fits in with the wider MCU.

"'Doctor Strange,' for instance, is kind of [in his own world]," said Feige, comparing Strange to the other Marvel heroes. "He's in New York, but he's a surgeon and he's got his own thing going on, and when he has to try to fix his hands he goes on another journey... All these movies are connected, so they inhabit -- as the comics did -- the same universe. Like Ant-Man, Doctor Strange lives in a world where aliens came out over Grand Central Station. Again, he also is a brain surgeon. When he's in the operating room, he's not thinking about those other things. He's working on what he's working on."

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

Writer/director James Gunn has confirmed the film's name on his Facebook page. Just like Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige accidentally revealed, the film will be titled "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Yes, the official title of the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.Kevin Feige...Posted by James Gunn onMonday, June 29, 2015

The above image shows how a few super sleuths figured out how many characters were in the full title and is followed by a caption wherein Gunn reveals the full title. Later on in the Facebook comments, Gunn -- who also co-wrote and directed "Guardians of the Galaxy" -- explains where the straightforward title came from.

"I came up with a LOT of titles for Vol. 2. But because 'Guardians of the Galaxy' is already so wordy, it seemed strange to add another bunch of words after it," explained Gunn in the comment. "I liked Vol. 2 the best, so that's what I stuck on the cover of the screenplay - and, fortunately, the guys liked it."
