GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXYFans of Nathan Fillion certainly had a whirlwind weekend -- after rumors began circulating that Fillion would play Richard Ryder in "Guardians of the Galaxy," director James Gunn quickly debunked it -- although he confirmed that Fillion does have a small cameo.

"@STARS_TyranT: Are the rumours true that he has some part in the film?" @nathanfillion has a very small fun cameo he did as a favor to me.- James Gunn (@JamesGunn) June 21, 2014

New covers for the latest issue of "Empire" feature both the villains of the upcoming film and the heroes, including Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser. Take a look below.

Kevin Feige made an appearance at CineEurope in Barcelona and discussed the role Thanos has to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"In particular, there's a villain in this film, that comic fans know as Thanos, that moviegoers will begin to learn more and more about in the coming years," said Feige. "He appeared at the very end of the first Avengers film, when he turned into camera and smirked, and we realized he was the person behind the alien army that Loki teamed up with to terrorize New York City, and that the Avengers had to fight."

Opens August 1

DAREDEVILRosario Dawson has been cast in Marvel & Netflix's "Daredevil" series in a mystery role.

"Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for 'Marvel's Daredevil,'" Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, said in a statement. "Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock's journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."

Dawson joins Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio. Other casting announcements will likely continue as the series heads towards production this summer in New York City.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PASTCollider spoke with Kelsey Grammer about his split-second cameo as Beast at the end of "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Apparently, Grammer was the one that approached director Bryan Singer about appearing.

"Actually I called Bryan. I bumped into Hugh Jackman and he said, 'Oh you're gonna be in another X-Men, mate!' and I said, 'No I'm not, I don't know anything about it,'" Grammer told Collider. "So I made a couple of inquiries, got a hold of the script, found out that it's primarily dealing with the past and that timeline I don't have a place in, but I saw that at the end there was this coda where he made an appearance. I said, 'Listen, I really wanna be involved,' so Bryan arranged for it and I had a lovely time."

"I hope to do another," he continued. "I hope they find some way to come up with a new story that involves Beast in my timeline."
