DEADPOOL

As reported by THR, a group of Deadpool fans have launched a petition to get the Merc With a Mouth to host "Saturday Night Live. The Change.org petition currently has over 54,000 signatures. And the petition is clear: this is specifically Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, not just anyone in the red and black suit. The move would be an unprecedented one, however, as no host has ever hosted the show in character; it's more likely that Reynolds would host and perform as Deadpool in a sketch or two. Although, Garth Brooks' fictional alter ego Chris Gaines was the musical guest back in 1999.

CAPTAIN MARVEL

Deadline has an interview with "Inside Out" screenwriter Meg LeFauve, who is also handling the script for "Captain Marvel" along with Nicole Perlman. While they're still in the early stages of the script, LeFauve did talk a little about the project.

"With 'Captain Marvel,' of course the first call to action for Nicole Perlman and myself is a great character and a great story, but certainly as women, we want to talk about the female experience because we're women -- that's what we know," said LeFauve. "On 'Captain Marvel,' we're really just at the beginning. Nicole and I are just spitballing through the really big, basic story questions, so there's nothing to report there. And even if there was, I probably couldn't tell you, but honestly, we're just starting."

THE WALKING DEAD

In a chat with Entertainment Weekly, "Walking Dead' lead Andrew Lincoln previewed this weekend's episode and spoke about Rick's reunion with Daryl (Norman Reedus).

"We like to call it 'Butch and Sundance,'" said Lincoln about the episode. "But the producers after a few days of filming it called it 'Bill and Ted's.' So I don't know what they were seeing but what we were filming was completely different... I missed working with Norman. And it was the same with Melissa McBride. I had very little to do with Melissa. And Steven. It is the nature of having an ensemble cast of going on 25 people now -- people splinter off and have to go in different directions."

Lincoln spoke highly of Reedus, saying that their separation was "frustrating" because he loves working with the actor. "And I love the relationship with Rick and Daryl. It's a huge ingredient as to why these survivors are still there -- that relationship. Also, it's been on screen for a long, long time -- six years now. And it is effortless working with the man. I love him. He's one of my best friends on the planet, along with lots of other cast members that I work with in this show. Particularly with Norman, though."
