DEADPOOL

In an interview with Variety, Ryan Reynolds spoke about Deadpool's pansexuality in the comics and advocated for the character to have a boyfriend on the big screen.

"I love that about Deadpool," said Reynolds. "I love that he can break any boundary. In the future, I hope we get to do that more." Reynolds added that it would be "nice" for Deadpool to have a boyfriend at some point. "I certainly wouldn't be the guy standing in the way of that," Reynolds said. "That would be great."

Variety has also predicted that "Deadpool" could make as much as $70 million over the four-day President's Weekend. Fox's more conservative estimate is between $60 million to $65 million.

Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick spoke to Variety about the leaked "Deadpool" test footage that led to the film getting greenlit.

"Oh my god, we were absolutely thrilled," said Wernick. "If you go back and look at our emails after the test footage was made in 2012, we had said back and forth, 'How do we leak this? How do we get the groundswell support from our fans?' When it finally leaked in 2014 and got the reaction we hoped for, we were like, 'Here it goes!' This is confirmation we are not crazy to be passionate about this. There's a whole fanbase of people clamoring for this movie. Had it not gotten that reaction, it would have been a disaster and the project would have been dead. We knew it in our bones this would be the reaction. We were thrilled and still to this day don't know who did it. there is a very short list of suspects."

Morena Baccarin appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" and talked about Ryan Reynolds' make-up process to get into Wade Wilson's scarred skin. The actress revealed it took seven hours to make the transition.

Though the film isn't out until this Friday, a "Deadpool" sequel is already in the works, according to The Hollywood Repoter. The film has reportedly been greenlit by 20th Century Fox, per THR's sources, and returning screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on a script.

AGENT CARTER

You can check out a recap of last night's episode, "The Atomic Job," right here on CBR. There's also a promo for next week's two episodes.

In an interview with CBR, Wynn Everett spoke about the effect Zero Matter has had on her character, villain Whitney Frost.

"In the beginning, Whitney faked confidence. She faked bravado," said Everett. "When the producers and I talked a great deal about her backstory, they said, 'She's always been the smartest one in the room. She always has that air she's a little bit better than everybody else.' That's very funny, because now that we know her background with her mom, it's very much a false sense of security and self. It's something she's built a wall around to make her feel safer because her world was so unsafe as a child. Now, with the Zero Matter inside her, she finally has that complete and total confidence that she can take over and seek revenge on everyone that has kept her down. I believe Whitney really wants to fight for the disenfranchised. Later on in an episode, they talk about fighting for the marginalized and the underdog. I believe I am doing the right thing."
