DEADPOOL

"Deadpool" dropped two new trailers on Christmas Day, one in full red band glory and another, green band version that's a little safer to watch at work. Fox also re-released the red band trailer in 2K Ultra HD.

MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

According to Heroic Hollywood, the live-action Taskmaster options that 20th Century Fox once held are no longer at the studio's disposal, which would allow the skull-faced villain with the photographic reflexes to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of a film or television project.

The report comes after Tim Miller, the director of Fox's upcoming "Deadpool" movie, mentioned Taskmaster among those characters he would most like to see the Merc with a Mouth brawl with on film next, with phrasing that suggested the character was not a part of the "Fox family."

It is possible that Miller merely meant that Fox is looking to stay in the X-Men business, but if reports that Fox is no longer the character's rights-holder are accurate, Marvel would very likely be free to use the colorful comic villain on the large or small screen, upon the reversion of the license.

DOCTOR STRANGE

"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch gets a little Strange in the first look at his role as "Doctor Strange" on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Complete with red cowl, blue robe and goatee, the look is very faithful to the comic book version of the character; it even looks as though he's wearing the Eye of Agamotto.

X-FORCE

Concept artist Greg Semkow is ready for Cable and company to come to life on the big screen, and shared a vision of the characters he says was inspired by "Kick-Ass 2" writer and director Jeff Wadlow script for the latest X-Men film.

ARROW

From what we can see in a new "Arrow" promo, Oliver Queen has got pretty precise revenge plans for Damien Darhk (hint: he wants to kill him) for the apparent death of Felicity in the series' winter finale.
